Let’s work together to prepare students for what’s next.

Mock Interviews give students the chance to practice telling their career story, strengthen their interview skills, and receive professional feedback from 51̽»¨ Center staff or industry partners. We are excited to partner with UNT faculty and staff to bring this hands‑on experience into your coursework or department.

Where to Begin

Mock interviews are most effective when they’re thoughtfully planned. We invite faculty and staff to connect with the Employer Services team before the semester begins to start the conversation. Early planning allows us to align mock interviews with your course goals and ensure students receive a meaningful, professional experience. We’re happy to meet in person or virtually to discuss your needs, timeline, and how mock interviews can best support student learning outcomes.

How the Process Works

Partnering with the 51̽»¨ Center is simple and impactful:

  1. Submit the
This helps us understand your class, goals, and preferred timing.
  2. We handle the scheduling
Once your request is received, the Employer Services team will coordinate and schedule mock interview sessions in Handshake.
  3. Receive confirmation and next steps
You’ll receive details about scheduling, logistics, and how to prepare your students once everything is finalized.

Faculty and staff are welcome to use the 51̽»¨ Center’s mock interview grading rubric to support assessment and reflection, or you may share your own rubric after submitting your request.

Scheduling Considerations

To make the best use of shared 51̽»¨ Center resources, please review the 51̽»¨ Fairs and Networking Events calendar before submitting your request. Mock interviews are generally unavailable on:

  • 51̽»¨ Fair dates
  • The day prior to 51̽»¨ Fairs (due to preparation needs)
  • Other signature 51̽»¨ Center event days
  • Dates when the Interview Suite is reserved for employer interviews

Being mindful of these dates helps ensure a smooth experience for both students and partners.
