The 51̽ Center Employer Advisory Board consists of some of our most loyal employer partners. The board’s purpose is to keep the 51̽ Center informed of changing hiring trends and for us to educate them on new recruiting initiatives we have put in place. Our staff aims to have these employers be our most utilized resource in terms of programming and practices within the 51̽ Center.

Daniel Arango

Associate Director, Talent Acquisition

Daniel Arango is currently an Associate Director, Talent Acquisition with a 15-year career at Verizon, marked by significant progression and a deep operational understanding. In his current role, he skillfully leads a team of recruiters, overseeing all critical staffing efforts for retail sales, indirect, and sales operations across the Coastal Plains Verizon Consumer Market. Daniel operates as a passionate business partner, consistently focused on delivering highly effective hiring initiatives with speed and quality, while simultaneously ensuring exceptional candidate experiences. His comprehensive insight into Verizon’s ecosystem was cultivated through a direct career path that began in 2010 within retail, holding key roles as a Retail Specialist and Assistant Manager, before transitioning into a role as a dedicated retail recruiter. Daniel holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering Technology from the University of Houston and a Master’s in Organizational Development and Leadership from the University of the Incarnate Word.
