DEADLINE PASSED – Call for entry – UNT Student Art Exhibition

Make It in Art: Professionalism in Studio Art Symposium
Student Exhibition at UNT CoLab

UNT CVAD undergraduate and graduate students are invited to at UNT CoLab as a part of CVAD’s Spring Symposium, Make It in Art. This student exhibition will be juried by Dongyi Wu, a Chinese-born contemporary jewelry artist.

It is free to submit your work. You may submit up to 3 pieces. Artwork can be 2D, 3D, Video. If you submit an installation, please be prepared to assist with install. Please pay attention to file formatting instructions and deadlines below.

Artwork drop off at CoLab – March 18
Exhibition Dates – March 18-31
Artwork pickup at CoLab – April 2

Symposium & Reception – March 21, 2025

File Formatting Instructions

Please submit professional images of your work.

  • Use the following naming convention to name your files: FirstnameLastname_Title.jpg
  • The following files will be accepted: .png, .jpg, YouTube link (for video work)
  • You may submit 1 image per entry, 3 entries total per student.

About the Juror

A Chinese-born woman with dark chin-length hair holds a fiber sculpture

is a Chinese-born contemporary jewelry artist. She received her M.F.A in Metal and Jewelry Design from Rochester Institute of Technology in the United States, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Jewelry Art Design from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology in China. Dongyi has participated in numerous residencies at institutions, such as the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, AR, the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN, the Baltimore Jewelry Center in Baltimore, MD, and the Contemporary Craft in Pittsburg, PA. Dongyi won numerous awards and exhibited worldwide, including at New York Jewelry Week, at Schmuck 2018 as part of Munich Jewelry Week, with SNAG (the Society of North American Goldsmiths), the Preziosa Young as part of Florence Jewellery Week, and JOYA 2020 at the Crafts Museum in Barcelona, Spain.
